Odisha Govt to Provide Additional Financial Support to Landless Agriculture Households under KALIA Scheme
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to provide additional financial support to the landless agriculture households under the farmers’ welfare scheme KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation).
Under the flagship scheme, Rs. 2,000 will be provided as an one time additional financial support to the landless agriculture households, which will augment their livelihood activities and contribute substantially in enhancing their Income and overall wellbeing.
A proposal in this regard has been approved by the State Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.
The State Government had implemented the KALIA scheme from 2018-19 for accelerating the prosperity and progress of agriculture by alleviating the poverty of landless agricultural households.
The eligible landless agricultural households is being provided with Rs. 12,500 in three installments to take up livestock and horticultural crop based activities to further accelerate their agricultural prosperity and provide an alternate livelihood.
