Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will set up a GMP laboratory in Berhampur to give an impetus to development of vaccines for livestock.
The facility will be set up with an investment of Rs 52.20 crore at Odisha Biological Products Institute.
The Department of Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department of Government of Odisha has signed an MoU with National Dairy Development Board for setting up this facility, informed the CMO.
The GMP laboratory will produce world-class Anthrax and ENT vaccines, ensuring compliance with WHO norms. The state-of-the-art lab will mark a new era in disease prevention for livestock.
