Bhubaneswar: Odisha continues to grapple with intense heatwave condition, with temperature soaring across the State.
As per the regional metrological centre of the IMD, the day temperature crossed above 40 degrees Celsius in 33 places in the State on Thursday. As many as 22 places have recorded the maximum day temperature of above 42 degrees Celsius.
Jharsuguda has become the hottest place in the State with the maximum temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius. Baripada is the second hottest place with 43.6 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted that heatwave to severe heatwave conditions are likely to prevail over the State till April 28.
