Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s healthcare worker Premalata Barik has received the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award 2020 for her dedicated services for the people of the State.
Barik, who serves as a Multipurpose Health Supervisor at CHC, Kujanga in Jagatsinghpur district has received the award from President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
“A proud moment for Odisha as Smt Premalata Barik, Multipurpose Health Supervisor (Female) of CHC, Kujanga, Jagatsinghpur received the National Florence Nightingale Award 2020 from Hon’ble President of India today, for her dedicated services for the people of Odisha”, the Health Department tweeted.

The Indian Nursing Council, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, confers the award to recognize the contribution of healthcare workers.
