Bhubaneswar: The Information and Public Relations (I & PR) Department, Government of Odisha, today observed the Anti-Terrorism Day.
All officials and staffs of the Department took oath against terrorism at 11 a.m as per the directives issued by the Home Ministry.
“We, the people of India, having abiding faith in our country’s tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony, and understand among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values,” the I&PR Department officials and staffs took pledge.
The oath was administered by Santosh Kumar Das, Additional Director, Information and Public Relations Department.
Each year on May 21, Anti-Terrorism Day is observed on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
