Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has issued fresh guidelines on COVID-19 vaccination at workplaces, both Government and private, to speed up the immunization drive in the State.
The Health and Family Welfare Department wrote to all district Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, CDMOs and PHOs in this regard.
The industrial establishments can vaccinate their employees and family members in hospitals by procuring vaccines on their own or at their workplaces tagging with private hospital CVC, as per the guidelines.
Below are guidelines on vaccination at workplace:
1-The family members and dependents of the workers, as defined by respective employers, can also be covered under COVID-19 vaccination at the industrial CVCs, private workplace CVCs and Government workplace CVCs.
2-For vaccination of the beneficiaries at industrial and private workplace CVCs, vaccine doses will have to be procured by private hospitals or the industrial establishment with whom respective employer tie up for vaccination.
3-For Govt workplace CVC, beneficiaries aged 4 years and above may be covered through vaccines supplied by the Centre and 18-44 years age group through vaccines supplied by the state Government.
The Department urged all Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, CDMOs and PHOs to inform officials and plan for vaccination of employees and their family members (18-44 years) by creating workplace CVCs on CoWIN as per feasibility and inform industrial establishments/private hospitals on workplace vaccination.
