Odisha Keeps 17 NDRF, 20 ODRAF and 175 Fire Services Teams On Standby: SRC
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena has said that the government is fully prepared to tackle the cyclone situation.
Interacting with the media, the SRC said, Odisha has had witnessed summer cyclones earlier also such as Fani, Amphan and Yaas. During summer, there are no possibilities of floods in the state. He said that the clear picture about the movement of the Cyclone will be known by the IMD only tomorrow after the formation of the low pressure.
Preparatory meeting was today held with the Collectors of 18 districts that are expected to be affected by the probable cyclone. The District administrations have been asked to remain prepared to face any situation and keep essential items ready.
In the wake of the possible Cyclone, the government has readied 17 NDRF, 20 ODRAF and 175 Fire Services teams on standby mode. He also urged all not to go for panic buying as all the essential items are in good supply.
