Odisha Legislative Assembly to Function for Six Hrs Everyday during Monsoon Session

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Legislative Assembly will function for six hours everyday during the upcoming Monsoon Session.

It has been decided at the all-party meeting chaired by Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha on Wednesday.

The Speaker informed that the Assembly will function for six hours every day. The first sitting of the session will start at 10:30 am and end at 1:30 pm. The second sitting will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm, he said.

The Assembly will function in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the Government, the Speaker added.

The monsoon session will commence on July 2. It will have 24 working days. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the full-fledged Budget for the year 2022-23 on the first day of the session.
