Odisha Minister Condemns Derogatory Remarks against President Murmu by TMC Leader

Bhubaneswar: Odisha agriculture minister and senior BJD leader Ranendra Pratap Swain has strongly condemned the derogatory remarks against President of India Droupadi Murmu by TMC legislature Akhil Giri.

In a Twitter post, Swain said, “I strongly condemn the derogatory remarks against Hon’ble President of India by TMC legislature. Everyone should refrain from such remarks for the first citizen of India”.

Akhil Giri, the West Bengal minister of state for the state correctional services, made objectionable comments against President Murmu.

“We don’t judge anyone by their appearance. We respect the office of the President. But how does our president look,” he commented at a public programme at Nandigram in East Midnapore district recently.
