Bhubaneswar: The unfortunate incident of crash of the IAF Helicopter near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu yesterday that took the life India’s CDS Gen Bipin Rawat, also took the life of young Odia officer Rana Pratap Das. He was one of the 13 members of the ill-fated MI 17 helicopter who died in the tragic incident. Rana belonged to Talcher in Angul district of Odisha and was serving as a Junior Warrant Officer in the Indian Air Force. He is survived by his wife, a one year old son and old parents.
According to sources, his mortal remains will be brought to Odisha today for last rites.
