Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pavilion, which showcases the State’s rich handicrafts, handlooms and vibrant Jagannath culture, was inaugurated at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2023 that kicked off at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Minister for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Ashok Chandra Panda inaugurated the pavilion at the mega trade fair.
The pavilion features 24 stalls of seven departments showcasing tribal jewellery and ornaments, cottage industry products, millet, ginger, turmeric, Koraput coffee, wooden and stone sculptures, paintings, sabai grass decorations, appliqués, etc.
Mission Shakti, Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, MSME, Tourism, SC and ST department, Panchayatiraj and Drinking Water departments participated in the Odisha Pavilion of the International event.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, I&PR department, Ravi Kant, Resident Commissioner, Govt of Odisha and other officials.
For ages, Odisha’s handicrafts, handlooms and various crafts have been fascinating for the people of different states of India and the world. The State was awarded for the best performance in last year’s trade fair.
