Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths have arrested a Sub-Inspector of Police along with a private person for allegedly taking bribe.
Susanta Kumar Swain, Sub-Inspector of Police, Khandagiri Police Station, Bhubaneswar and Chiranjiv Bala, private person, have been caught red handed by Odisha Vigilance while taking bribe Rs.50,000from a complaint in order to help him in a case.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case no. 9/23 U /s-7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress, the Vigilance stated.
