Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Dinesh Kumar Rout, Sarapanch of Brundabahal GP, Golamunda in Kalahandi district.
Rout was arrested by the Vigilance sleuths, a day he was intercepted at Khaliakani by a team of anti-graft officials, while he was carrying Rs 5.4 lakhs suspected ill-gotten cash.
The Sarapanch is being forwarded to the court.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance registered a case U/s 13(2) r/w13 (1)(b) P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018.
