Odisha: State Cabinet Approves 9.6 Acres Govt Land for Construction of ‘Paika Memorial’

Bhubaneswar: In a significant move, the State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved a proposal to allocate 9.685 acres of government land for the construction of Paika Memorial in the memory of Paika Rebellion at the foothills of Barunei Hill in Khordha district for free of cost.

The government land will be provided in Mouza- Khordha area under Khordha Tehsil of Khordha District to Ministry of Culture, Government of India for construction of the Memorial.

“The State Government have decided to provide Government iand measuring Ac. 9.685 dec. in Mouza- Khordha under Khordha Tahasil of Khordha District to Ministry of Culture, Government of lndia for construction of Paika Memorial in the memory of Paika Rebellion at the foothills of Barunei Hill, the battle ground of Paika Bidroha with free of premium, capitalized value and incidental charges”, according to an official release.
