Odisha STF Arrests Hardcore Drug Trafficker from Hyderabad

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has arrested a hardcore drug trafficker from Amberpet area of Hyderabad.

“A joint team of STF and Malkangiri district police with the help of Telangana Police, arrested a hardcore drug trafficker from Amberpet area of Hyderabad”, the STF said.

The drug trafficker has been identified as Thyil Shyam Sunder.

Sunder was nabbed following raids by a team of STF and Malkangiri Police at Saikrishna Nagar in Hyderabad with the help of Amberpet Police.

On October 3, 2021, Chitrakonda Police had seized 1051 kg ganja, one TATA ACE Goods Carrier and other incriminating materials from the possession of accused person identified as N Balu, a native to East Godabari district of Andhra Pradesh.

During interrogation, N Balu confessed that he was transporting the huge amount of ganja by the direction of ThyilShyam Sunder, according to an official release.

Soon after his arrest, Sunder was produced before a local court in Hyderabad for transit remand. He will be brought to Malkangir and produced before District & Sessions Judge Court, Malkanagiri, it added.
