Bhubaneswar: With the number of Covid infections rising rapidly in many countries, and India already reporting cases of BF.7 variant including one from Odisha, the Government of Odisha has started taking initiatives to face this epidemic. A high level meeting is scheduled to be held today to discuss the preparedness and the take precautionary measures to tackle the possible new Covid wave. The Meeting will be held led by Health Director Bijay Mohapatra and attended by officials of all Medical colleges, RMRC and ILS.
After the Center instructed the Civil Aviation Ministry to conduct random checking of air travelers, the Government of Odisha is planning to conduct random testing and whole genome sequencing of positive samples from December 24th .
