Odisha Vigilance Apprehends Khariar PMAY Technical Consultant Dev Chandra Rout While Accepting Bribe

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials have apprehended Dev Chandan Rout, Technical Consultant (Jr.Engineer), PMAY ( Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana) Section, NAC Khariar, Nuapada while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.10,000 from a PMAY beneficiary for submission of completion certificate and facilitating release of final bill under PMAY-Urban Scheme to the beneficiary. The entire tainted money has been recovered from the possession of accused Rout and has been seized.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Dev Chandra Rout in Nuapada district from Disproportionate Assets angle. In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S case No.17 dtd. 11.06.2023 U/s 7 P.C Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused the accused.
