Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Friday nabbed a Revenue Inspector (RI) for taking bribe from a person in a mutation case.
Nrusingha Charan Rout, RI, Goda and I/c RI, Padmapur under Ersama Tahasil in Jagatsinghpur district has been apprehended by the Vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting bribe Rs. 6,000 from a complainant in order to submit enquiry report in his favour in a Mutation Case.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from the exclusive possession of the RI, the Vigilance said.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Rout from D.A angle.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS case no. 26/2023 U/s-7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered.Investigation is in progress against the RI, the Vigilance stated.
