Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested an Asst. Section Officer for allegedly taking bribe from a person for processing his house building loan file for sanction of loan.
The ASO has been identified as Soumya Ranjan Dash, O/o Engineer In Chief, Water Resources Dept, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.
Dash, has been apprehended by the Vigilance sleuths while taking bribe Rs. 5000 from a person for processing his house building loan file for sanction of loan.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case no 23/2023 U/s-7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress, the Vigilance stated.
