Odisha Vigilance Arrests High School Headmaster for Taking Bribe to Issue Certificate 

Rourkela: Odisha Vigilance on Friday arrested a high school headmaster in Sundargarh district for taking bribe from a parent to issue certificate and mark sheet in favour of his daughter.

“Sanjay Samal, I/C Headmaster, Kumjharia SC & ST Development High School, Sundargarh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs 12,000 from a parent for issue of Original Board Certificate, Mark Sheet & SLC etc. in favour of his daughters”, the vigilance said.

In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS Case No.19/22, U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation in the matter is in progress, it added.
