Odisha Vigilance Arrests Senior Clerk for Accepting Bribe in Angul

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday arrested a senior clerk in Angul district for allegedly taking bribe from a government employee.

Nityananda Gaigaria, Sr. Clerk at the office of BDO,  Kishorenagar has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.10,000 from a government employee under District Office, Angul  for ante-dating his pay.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from Gaigaria and seized.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Gaigaria in Angul District from DA angle.

In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS case has been registered. Investigation is in progress against Gaigaria.
