Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday nabbed a Senior Revenue Assistant (SRA) at the Office of Sub-Collector, Puri for allegedly taking bribe.
The accused SRA has been identified Jituranjan Chhatoi.
Chhatoi has been apprehended by the Vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting bribe Rs 50,000 from a complainant for conversion of his land to ‘GHARABARI'(homestead) purpose in an OLR Case.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance Division PS Case has been registered U/s 7 P.C.(Amendment) Act, 2018 against the SRA. The investigation is in progress, the Vigilance said.
