Odisha Vigilance Unearths Huge Disproportionate Assets From RWSS Engineer

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance Department has unearthed huge disproportionate assets in connection with RWSS Assistant Executive Engineer Rabinarayan Panda. The Vigilance sleuths have unearthed a three storied building (4865 sq ft) and one flat in Bhubaneswar, 12 plots in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and other cities, deposits of Rs.1.2 crore, cash amounting to Rs.28.9 lakhs, gold 1 kg, 4 four wheelers (45 lakh), 3 two wheelers (2.67 lakh) etc. Two shops bearing no D/2 & D/3 in the name of Mrs Nalini Panda w/o Sri R.N.Panda in Khandagiri Market complex, Bhubaneswar have also been unearthed.

The Odisha Vigilance Department officials had raided eight places across the state in connection with the Assistant Executive Engineer Rabinarayana Panda yesterday. According to the Vigilance Department, its Technical Wing is carrying out detailed measurement and valuation of the buildings and plots unearthed. The accused official is being examined to ascertain the source of the assets while further searches are continuing.

Eight teams of the Vigilance including 1 Addl. SP, 8 DSPs, 5 Inspectors, 1 Sub-Inspectors, 11 ASIs, and other staff had conducted the raids at eight places in Bhubaneswar, Kendrapara, and Udala on the strength of search warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
