Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance today unearthed assets worth over crores including 28 plots during the raids at properties of Dusmanta Dehury, assistant engineer of rural development department in Nimapara in Puri district.
The assistant engineer has come under the scanner of Vigilance Department for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.
During the raids, the vigilance sleuths unearthed Dehury’s 28 plots in Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal approximately valued Rs 1.45 crore.
The anti-corruption officers also unearthed cash Rs.1.58 lakh, 1 triple storeyed building Bhubaneswar, 3 single storeyed buildings at Dhenkanal, deposits worth over Rs 47.65 lakh, one Mahindra Renault Logan Car worth Rs.11,00,000 and 2 two wheelers.
The simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 5 DSPs, 12 Inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Dhenkanal.
The search is still underway, the vigilance said.
