Bhubaneswar: The Fakir Mohan University in Odisha’s Balasore district has made a significant improvement in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) grading.
The university has improved the NAAC grade from B+ to A. In the NAAC evaluation, it has scored an institutional Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.18 out of 4 to get the ‘A’ grade.
The NAAC team had visited the university earlier this month to evaluate it for its second cycle of assessment. The team evaluated the research infrastructure, innovation and extension besides teaching-learning and curricular aspects of the university. Based on the evaluation, the team accorded ‘A’ grade to the university.
In the previous cycle of assessment in 2016, Fakir Mohan University had scored B+.
