Bhubaneswar: The first ever Tech In Tourism Chapter – the biggest Travel Tech Event of the state was successfully organized on Monday. The event brought together a host of dignitaries, industry leaders and renowned hoteliers who discussed and conversed on the possibilities of Tech in Tourism in Odisha. The event brought the participants to brainstorm on an important issue like the transformative journey to reshape Odisha’s tourism landscape.
The first ever Tech in Tourism event of Odisha saw the convergence of technology and innovation and the dignitaries from across a wide range of spectrum discussed about revolutionsing the tourism sector with Technology, fostering sustainable growth, seamless experiences, and bringing Odisha Tourism on a global stage. The topics also included empowering tourism through tech awareness, exploring Odisha’s hidden gems, sustainable tourism practices, leveraging technology for conservation, Smart tourism infrastructure for Odisha, ensuring cyber security and fraud prevention etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Mishra, Principal Secretary, Electronics & Information Technology Department, highlighted the importance of the use of digital technology in fostering tourism potential. He said that Odisha has emerged as the new tourism destination in the country and adoption of new technology will bring Odisha on to the global stage. Others present at the event included Chairman OTDC Lenin Mohanty, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Soumendra Kumar Priyadarshi, Director The Crown Hotel Debasish Patnaik and others.
