Bhubaneswar: The state Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department has made arrangements for special screening of the movie ‘Daman’ in the Lok Seva Bhavan today.
Government officials above the rank of Joint Secretaries of various departments have been invited to watch the Movie during the special screening. This comes days after the Government of Odisha made the screen of the movie tax free in theatres.
Babushaan starrer movie Daman has a social message for all and has been receiving rave reviews.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had declared screening of Daman which is based on the malaria prevention program of the Odisha Government, completely tax-free in the State. The movie depicts humanity of a young doctor who is dedicated in providing healthcare service in remote areas of Malkangiri in real life. The Chief Minister expressed his hope that the movie will further strengthen the commitment of all government employees including health department in serving the people.
Speaking about the special screening, Satyabrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department, said that Daman has a social message for all and especially it is inspiring the officers and workers of the health department for public service.
