One Nation, One Election: Center Forms Panel Headed By Former President Ram Nath Kovind

New Delhi: In a major Development, the Union Government has formed a Committee headed by the former President of India Ram Nath Kovind to explore the possibility of One Nation, One Election in the country. According to sources, the Committee will study the possibility of simultaneous General Elections for the Parliament and State Assemblies. This comes at a time when the Government has called for a special session of the Parliament from 18th September to 22nd September. It is likely that the Government will bring in a Bill related to One Nation, One election.
