Bhubaneswar: Senior Biju Janata Dal leader Kartik Pandian has stepped up his attack on the opposition while campaigning in Bari Assembly constituency under Jajpur Lok Sabha segment.
“The opposition leaders talk big things and then disappear after the elections”, the BJD star campaigner said here on Saturday.
Addressing a massive gathering of people in an election meeting, Pandian said, “You saw them in 2019. You are seeing them in 2024 and will see them again in 2029. You will not see them in any other time”.
Further criticizing the opposition leaders, the senior BJD leader said that they remember their promise for the farmers only during the election time. They are shedding crocodile tears for the farmers.
“The BJP leaders will come during elections, talk sweet words, tell lies and shed crocodile tears”, he said while urging the people to remain aware of them.
The saffron party promises free electricity. For this, people have to spend Rs 50,000 to install solar panels. The BJP is showing lanterns during the day, he added.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is going to build an empowered and strong Odisha with the support of the youths, Pandian said.
He further said that the CM has sanctioned Rs 40 lakhs for the development of Kalamati Martyrs Memorial, Rs 200 crores for five big bridges in Bari constituency and Rs 90 crores for two irrigation projects.
