Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for by-elections for Padampur Assembly Constituency. The Voting will be held on the 5th of December 2022. The by-polls were necessitated due to the sad demise of the sitting Biju Janata Dal MLA Bijaya Ranjan Singh Bariha.
According to the schedule, the Gazette notification will be issued on the 10th of November and the last date for nominations will be 17th November. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on 18th November and last date for withdrawal of candidature will be 21st November 222. While voting will be conducted on 5th December, counting of votes will be held on 8th December. The Model Code of Conduct shall comes into force with immediate effect.
