Bhubaneswar: The counting of votes for the bye-election to Padampur assembly constituency in Bargarh district will take place tomorrow.
Briefing media, Chief Electoral Officer Sushil Kumar Lohani informed that counting of 296 postal ballots will start at 8 A.M and EVM counting will start at 8.30AM.
As many as 14 counting tables have been arranged for the counting of EVMs and one counting table for Returning Officer (RO) where postal ballot counting will take place. There will be 23 rounds of counting as 319 booths are there in the assembly constituency, the CEO said.
The Padampur by-election held on December 5 has created a record of highest voter turnout. The polling saw 81.29 percent voters casting their votes.
