Pari Murder Case: Accused Sentenced to 20 Years Rigorous Imprisonment

Nayagarh: The accused in the Pari murder case has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment.
The Special Children Court, Nayagarh convicted the accused, who is a minor and announced the punishment.
The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 6,000 on the accused.

During the trial, as many as 31 persons were examined. A total of 135 exhibits and 18 material objects used in the offence were submitted before the court. On the basis of these, Special Children Court, Nayagarh held him guilty and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment, the public prosecutor informed.

In 2020, a five-year-old girl Pari of Jadupur village in Nayagarh had gone missing on July 14 while playing in front of the house. Pari’s body was recovered by the police after 10 days. The SIT probe was conducted and the accused was arrested.
