Play a Pivotal Role in Successful Implementation of Welfare Programmes of Govt Following 5T Principles: I&PR Dept Principal Secy to DIPROs

Bhubaneswar: Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department, today called upon the District Information and Public Relations Officers (DIPROs) to play a pivotal role in successful implementation of welfare programmes of various departments based on 5T principles of the State Government.

Inaugurating the Accounting and Financial Training workshop for the DIPROs, Singh said that rapid changes are taking place in the field of science and technology. Accordingly, laws, regulations and practices are changing.

The State Government is committed to provide speedy services to the people on the basis of 5T charter of governance, he said while urging the DIPROs to play their crucial role in successful implementation of the welfare schemes and programmes of the government.

The I&PR Dept Principal Secretary said that there is no age limit for learning. By training the working information and public relations officers can enhance their skills and will be able to perform their duty more efficiently in the direction of successful implementation and dissemination of government programs, Singh expressed.

Along with this, he also insisted that there is a need to prepare an annual calendar for the training of the officers of the department every year, study tour to Indian Institute Mass Communication (IIMC), Dhenkanal and other states to learn about the information and broadcasting system.

He also emphasized on training for the information officers, cameramen, photographers etc. of the department at Biju Pattanaik Film & Television Institute.

The three-day Accounting and Financial Training workshop for the DIPROs started at Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management (MDRAFM) here. The DIPROs from all districts and officials of the I&PR Department attended the programme.
