PM Modi Calls Up Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik To Seek Support For Vice-Presidential Candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar; BJD To Extend Support

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal will support the candidature of Jagdeep Dhankhar as the next Vice-President of India. The decision comes as Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called up Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in the evening and sought the support of the Biju Janata Dal for NDA Vice-Presidential candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar. The Chief Minister has assured the PM regarding the party’s support to Dhankhar.

The Chief Minister has also asked all the BJD MPs to remain present during the filing of nomination by Dhankar. Jagdeep Dhankhar will file his nomination papers on Tuesday and the elections will be held on 6th August.
