Berhampur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday dedicated the permanent campus of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Berhampur at Laudigaon in Rangeilunda block of Ganjam district through video conferencing.
The IISER was running in the transit campus of ITI, Berhampur since academic year 2016-17.
The permanent campus has academic building, hostels, canteen, dining hall, community centre, dispensaries, residential complexes for lecturers and staff. It has also tennis court, basket ball and volleyball court, cricket pitch and a stadium for the sports enthusiasts.
The State Government has provided 200.435 acres of land and other infrastructure for the permanent campus of IISER, as per reports.
