Bhubaneswar: The Police Commissionerate on Tuesday issued a traffic advisory for the Ashokastami Car Festival and the return Car Festival of Lord Shree Lingaraj.
The Ashokastami Car Festival of Lord Shree Lingaraj will be celebrated in Bhubaneswar UPD on 29.03.2023 & 30.03.2023 and return Car Festival will be observed on 02.04.2023 & 03.04.2023.
To ensure better convenience and in the larger interest of public safety, the following restrictions are imposed during the celebration of Ashokasthami Car Festival.
1. No vehicles will be allowed on Rath road from Mausimaa chowk. They will be diverted either towards Museum chowk or towards Vivekananda Marg.
2. No vehicles will be allowed on Rath road from Barik Sahi lane, Maharana Sahi lane, Gosagareswar chhak, Sital Sasthi lane, Tinimundia chhak, Harchandi lane, Muna Medical lane and Punama gate lane or any other lane/by-lane emerging at Rath road.
3. No vehicles from Rath Khala will not be allowed on Rath road, instead, those will be diverted from Rath Khala towards Bata Mahadev Temple.
