Bhubaneswar: Former MP and BJD leader Pradeep Majhi has taken charge as Advisor of Special Development Council (SDC).
The SDCs has been functioning in nine tribal-dominated districts, such as Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Keonjhar, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, and Sundergarh . The SDCs aim at the conservation and propagation of tribal culture, recognition of indigenous knowledge, and documentation of tribal culture, tradition, and practices.
The Odisha Government had appointed Pradeep Majhi as Advisor of SDC last month.
