Bhubaneswar: The Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team of the Indian Air Force will conduct Air Shows in Bhubaneswar and Puri on the 16th and 18th of this month. The preparations for the Air Shows are in full swing.
In Bhubaneswar, the Air Show will be conducted by the team over the Bali Jatra Ground on the banks of the river Kuakhai on the morning of Friday. The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will fly nine Hawk Aircrafts and display formations, flying inverted, diving and climbing in an aerial ballet. Elaborate arrangements have been made at the venue for people to watch the show. If the weather is conducive, the 45-minute aerobatics show will begin at about 9.30 am.
The members of the Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team have reached Bhubaneswar and the induction team has conducted mapping sorties. The support team has also reached Odisha. Nine Hawk fighter jets will participate in the Air Show for which the final dress rehearsals will be conducted tomorrow. In Puri, the Air Show will be conducted on the 18th of this month. Keeping in view the program, the Commissionerate Police has planned security and traffic arrangements. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal are likely to attend the show.
