President Murmu Offers Payers At Lingaraj Temple; To Inaugurate 2nd Rice Congress At Cuttack Today

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu today offered prayers at the centuries old Lord Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar. Amid tight security arrangements, President Murmu walked from the famous Bindusagar lake to the Lingaraj Temple. She was given a traditional welcome by the servitors of the temple. Inside the temple, she performed Jalabhisekha and offered prayers. Governor Prof Ganesh Lal was also present during the occasion.

President Murmu will today inaugurate the 2nd Indian Rice Congress being held at the National Rice Research Institute near Cuttack. She will return to Delhi in the afternoon after her two-day visit to the state.
