Rains May Spoil Puja Festivities As Met Predicts Cyclonic Circulation Over West central Bay of Bengal

Bhubaneswar: The Puja festivities are likely to get dampened in Odisha especially in the coastal and interior districts this October as the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rains from October 1st.

According to the IMD, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form in the northeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal around October 1 thereby bringing rains in several districts.

Meanwhile, the IMD has said that thunderstorms with lightning and heavy rainfall are also likely to lash some districts of Odisha on September 28th and 29th. The districts are Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj district.
