Renowned International Scholar Prof. Arlo Griffiths Arrives in Bhubaneswar for First World Odia Language Conference 

Bhubaneswar: Renowned international scholar and historian Prof. Arlo Griffiths has arrived in Bhubaneswar to take part in the first ever World Odia Language Conference, which will be held from tomorrow at Janata Maidan in the capital city.

The first and largest ever event associated with Odia language will see a host of activities and attendance by many distinguished participants from across the country and international delegates.

Linguists, researchers and writers from abroad are arriving in Bhubaneswar to participate in the three-day conference.

Prof. Griffiths, an Indologist and Sanskritist specialized in ancient epigraphy and philology of India and Southeast Asia, has arrived from France. He will participate in a special discussion during the second day programme.

The conference will have 16 Academic sessions on various topics connected to Odia language, literature and cultural heritage. It will have a special session on Jagannath Consciousness.
