Bhubaneswar: A retired assistant engineer in Gajapati district has been sentenced to three years jail in a disproportionate assets case.
The ex-engineer has been identified as Narayan Panda.
Panda, Ex-Asst. Engineer(Retd), Estimator, RWS&S Division, Gajapati, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in BPR Vigilance PS case for possession of disproportionate assets (DA), was convicted in the case.
He has been sentenced to three years jail and fine of Rs.20,000, the Vigilance said.
