Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday nabbed Damodar Suna, RI, Dahita Circle, Padmapur Tahasil, Bargarh for allegedly taking bribe.
Sun has been apprehended along with a private person named Somadev Banchhor while taking bribe Rs.3,300 from a complaint to issue sketch map of land to an extent of Ac.0.02 decimal for a group of beneficiaries under PMAY, the Vigilance said.
The complaint approached Odisha Vigilance through Toll free No 1064 and reported the demand of bribe. After due verification, a trap was laid and the above two accused persons were nabbed by the Vigilance team while accepting bribe from the complainant.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case no 15/2023 U/s-7/12PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress, the Vigilance stated.
