Sahid Sushant Khuntia’s Last Rites Conducted With Full State honours

Keonjhar: The last rites of martyred Odia CRPF Jawan Sushant Khuntia were held with full state honours today at his native place Anandpur. Thousands of people gathered to pay their tributes to the slain jawan and a pal of gloom descended in the whole town. The dead body of Sushant was brought from Ranchi to Anandpur in a special vehicle. People lined up on both sides of the main road through which his dead body was taken in a procession. Tributes were also paid to Sushant at Sailang square, Ghasipura, Salapada, and other places. He was cremated on the banks of river Baitarini where the CRPF gave him full guard of honour. While Sushant joined the CRPF in 2011, he died yesterday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Ranchi after being hit by a bullet in his chest in an encounter with the Naxals.
