Bhubaneswar: Saluga Pradhan, the Biju Janata Dal MLA from G Udayagiri has filed his nomination papers for the post of Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Assembly. The Party nominated Saluga for the post of Deputy Speaker today. Saluga is a two-time MLA from G Udaygiri Constituency in Kandhamal district. He is all set to become the next Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly as the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party have no requisite numbers in the Assembly to field a candidate. The Election was scheduled to be held tomorrow. Speaking to the media after filing his nomination papers, Saluga said “I thank Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on reposing faith on me for the post. I will respect the views of all the members of the House and try to run the house.”
