Sambalpur: Man-eating Leopard Brought to Rescue Centre for Treatment 

Sambalpur: The man-eating leopard that was reused in Nuapada was brought to rescue centre under Hirakud Wildlife Division at Sambalpur for treatment and quarantine.

The male leopard is approximately eight years old. A team of veterinarians and officials of wildlife division transferred the big-cat safely to Sambalpur last night.

Now the leopard is under treatment and round the clock observation. For proper treatment, human movement has been completely stopped in the rescue centre except rescue unit and veterinarian.

Different tests will be conducted for checking infection. Quarantine facility has been made full proof and the animal will remain under full watch and ward inside quarantine enclosure with CCTV camera, as per the forest officials.
