Sambalpur: Santosh Kumar Darjee, the General Manager of Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPWODL) in Sambalpur district was arrested on Saturday by Odisha Vigilance in connection with disproportionate assets(DA) case.
The Sambalpur Vigilance PS has registered a case against Darjee and his spouse U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b)/12 PC Act, 1988 as amended by PC (Amend)Act, 2018, the vigilance said.
Earlier on Friday, the vigilance sleuths conducted searches at multiple places connected with Darjee on the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets.
Simultaneous house searches were conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by one DSP, six Inspectors, two ASIs and other staff on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Special Judge Vigilance, Sambalpur at three places in Sambalpur and Bargarh district.
The searches were conducted at the residential building located at Pradhanpara, Sambalpur; Burla Corporate Office, Sambalpur; Native village at Atabira, Bargarh.
