Senior Citizen Booklet Unveiled by Commisionerate Police in Collaboration with HDFC Bank

Bhubaneswar: The Commisionerate Police in collaboration with India’s leading private sector lender HDFC Bank Ltd, unveiled Senior Citizen Booklet to help the elderly citizen of Twin City and areas coming under CP jurisdiction.

This booklet was released by Commisionerate Police with slogan “We Care”, which focuses on providing essential services and rendering help and assistance to the senior citizens.

The Commisionerate Police will be distributing this booklet at the doorsteps of all senior citizens soon through their nodal police officers based out in various locations of the city. The Commissioner also spoke about the security and safety of the senior citizens while explaining them how not to fall prey to cyber crime.

Total 31253 Senior Citizens have registered under Senior Citizen database and all efforts are being taken to include all Senior Citizens of the Twin City soon.

Zonal Head & Senior Vice President of HDFC Bank Ltd, Deepak Kumar Singh mentioned that HDFC Bank takes special care for the senior citizens and they would make all efforts to help and serve the senior citizens in the city with care and respect.

The Event was attended by Soumendra Priyadarshi Additional DG and Commissioner, Niti Sekhar , Addl Commisoner, S Sushree , DCP traffic, Dr. Panda founder of Panda Cancer institute and association heads of Senior citizens. All 35 Nodal police officers of the entire Commissionerate police were also present during the event in Police Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.

The agenda was to release and distribute a hand book with all important contact no’s of various important and emergency services which are of utmost use at the time of emergency for the senior citizens who mostly stay alone in the city.
