Senior Congress Leader Chiranjib Biswal Quits Congress

Bhubaneswar: In another big blow for the Odisha Congress days before the coming elections, senior leader and former MLA from Jagatsinghpur, Chiranjib Biswal has quit the Congress party. He has sent his resignation letter to the OPCC President Sarat Patnaik. Chiranjib was a veteran leader and had won from Tirtol in 2004 and Jagatsinghpur in 2014 as a Congress candidate. .

Chiranjib, in his resignation letter wrote “I hereby tender my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress. I request you to kindly accept my resignation with immediate effect.”
