Senior IPS Officer YB Khurania Appointed as Odisha Director General of Police

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has appointed senior IPS Officer Yogesh Bahadur Khurania as the next Director General of Police of the State.

YB Khurania is a 1990 Batch Odisha Cadre IPS Officer and brings with him a wealth of experience as he has held a number of positions both in the State and Center. He has served as the Police Commissioner of the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and as Superintendent of Police of Nayagarh, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, and Ganjam districts in Odisha.

He was on Central Deputation since 2018. Prior to his repatriation to Odisha, and was posted as the Special DG, BSF.

He has also served as the Southern Range and Northern Range DIG, IGP Northern Range, and Director, BPSPA-cum-I.G. of Police, Training.
